Consent records that survive product changes

When lending or wallet features ship weekly, consent evidence ages fast. Here is how audit sampling keeps pace.

Consumer finance apps rarely freeze a consent UI for long. New credit lines, referral programmes, and analytics SDKs arrive between annual policy reviews—and the stored purpose strings no longer match what the product actually does.

During privacy control audits we sample consent artefacts by release window, not by calendar year alone. That means tying each preference record to the app build, the copy shown, and the vendors that received the signal.

Product leads who keep a living map of purpose → screen → vendor find regulator and bank-partner questions far less disruptive. Screenshots without version context rarely survive a walkthrough.
